Dear Momma

As we reflect on the evolution of the barbershop, we acknowledge the rich traditions that have shaped our past. In days gone by, the barbershop was often considered a domain exclusively for men.

Many of us can recall a time when our mothers, while supportive from afar, wouldn’t dare set foot inside these hallowed halls. For some of us, memories of being dropped off by our mothers with precise instructions for a ‘low church boy’ or ‘school boy’ haircut.

Yet, as times have changed, so too have our perceptions and practices. We now witness a beautiful transformation, where mothers, grandmothers, wives, and girlfriends not only accompany their loved ones but actively participate in the grooming experience.

Over the last two decades, we’ve witnessed a significant shift in who accompanies the boys to the barbershop. It’s become increasingly common to see mothers and grandmothers taking on this role with pride and dedication. We recognize and appreciate this evolution, as it reflects your unwavering support and devotion to your family.

Your involvement not only ensures that your loved ones receive top-notch grooming services but also fosters invaluable bonding moments and teaches them the importance of self-care and personal presentation.

We are honored to be a part of this journey with you and your boys. Thank you for entrusting us with their grooming needs and for allowing us to be a part of your family’s story.

We salute you as we celebrate Mother’s Day, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to all the mothers who once waited outside and to those who now join us inside, your presence enriches our establishment in ways both profound and meaningful.
